My First Boilermaker ...

Well, it's over, I can hardly believe it. And it was everything everyone said it was going to be ... simply amazing! The whole race is laced with crowds cheering you on, all kinds of bands at every mile, the animals from the zoo, belly dancers, enthusiastic water stations, DJs, etc., it was 9.3 miles of pure excitement from when the cannon went off at 8:00 a.m. until the two F16s flew over the post party! This is THE BEST 15K event in the US, I am certain of that! Utica may be small, but they sure know how to have a good time and put on a good race! I really didn't sleep much this weekend in anticipation of the big day. The emotions were pretty evenly split between uncontrollable excitement to gut-wrenching anxiety about whether I could really do it or not. The weather could not have been more perfect! My friend Sarah came up in the a.m. and we rode down to the start together where we met my other friend Kim, the one I trained with. We stood anxiously waiting through the National Anthem, the prayer, the announcement of the wheel chair race and then the boom of the cannon for our race that began at 8 a.m. It took us 11 minutes just to get to the starting line, so you deduct that time from the time you run through the clock in the end and that's your official time. For someone who has never run before, you wouldn't know unless someone told you. People were yelling and cheering, holding signs up like "you're halfway to beer" and signs from Dunkin Donuts that said, "You Kin Do it". Some of the people who were running dressed up including the Blues Brothers whom we ran behind, a guy in a cape, people running with American Flags, and even a mom who was running to accumulate miles while her son is in Iraq (she's been on TV in the news), something that hit pretty close to my heart. I saw many of my friends and relatives along the route cheering everyone on, young and old. It was truly one of the best things I've ever done. Even if you don't live in the area, it would be worth your investment to come and run with us next year. My official time was 1:43:47. Not the best, not the worst, and definitely not the last. I'm sure I could have done better, but I really honestly didn't care -- I just wanted to finish an finish feeling good and I did exactly that! You can watch the finish line video here. I finish at 1:54:37 on the clock to the right that you see above the finish line banner. I'm in the bottom right corner with a red tank top. Thanks for putting up with my posts about this little endeavor of mine -- I had something to prove to myself but wanted to share the experience in case it happens to inspire you! I will get back to stamping VERY SOON, but plan to continue my newest passion (whodda thunk it?)

A quick note ...

I know, I know, I haven't been posting much lately. Quite honestly I can't focus on anything other than this race I'm about to run on Sunday as I've been preparing for it for sooo long. There are over 11,000 people registered to run the Boilermaker Road Race on Sunday, and I am SUPER excited! I can't believe it's almost here! Unfortunately, I haven't been feeling very well this week -- of all times to come down with something, so I've been resting as much as possible, drinking as much water as possible, and trying to focus on the 9.3 miles I have prepared myself to run. This has been an incredible journey, one I would recommend to anyone! And even doubly special is that my son Christopher will be running it for the first time as well. He will be running with his National Guard unit and will hopefully be there waiting for me at the finish line. This was so much more than running 9.3 miles for me. It has been an emotionally-cleansing journey and I'm so thankful I made the decision to do it. No matter what your goals are in life, you can achieve them, you just have to be willing to do the work to get there. Before this little endeavor, those were just words that sounded good when spoken by others, but now they have TRUE meaning for me. I CAN DO IT and SO CAN YOU no matter what it is!

A card with a surprise in side ...

Here's a card design that's been around for quite some time. I received one of my first tri-fold shutter cards from another demonstrator I love to swap with, Amy Celona, at a Stampin' Up! event. I tried to locate her card, as I remember it quite vividly, it was a winter scene with whites, light blues, and glitter, so pretty ... unfortunately I wasn't able to locate it (it's been a few years), but you'll just have to trust me when I tell you how pretty it was. This card style has many variations to it, but I like to do it this way so that the front panel shows up as a full card panel. I will be having a class on tri-fold shutter cards on 7/20 at 6:30 p.m. We will be making two different style tri-fold cards for $10, you will LOVE them when they're done! Just RSVP by 7/16/2009.

Details for this card:
Stamp Set: Wings of Friendship (new level 2 hostess set)
Cardstock: Old Olive, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Craft White, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stipple brush, Photo Corners Punch, paper piercing tool w/mat (we now sell just the piercer and mat without the whole kit, YAY!!!!)

Scrapbook Club ...

Can you believe it's almost July 4?! It's especially hard to believe if you live in CNY since we haven't had very much summer-like weather yet this year. I hope it gets here soon so we can enjoy all of those backyard barbecues and swimming at the beach!

Here's a two-page July 4th spread we did the other night at scrap club. Details:

Stamps: Big Deal Alphabet (retired now), Good Friend (faux fireworks)
Cardstock: Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun, and Whisper White
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, White Craft
Accessories: Star punches, Stampin' dimensionals, sponge daubers

I am alive and thriving LOL ...

Sorry for the pause -- what a week! We have had so much fun this week with the end-of-year activities ... it's hard to believe it's over. My baby is no longer in elementary school, my 14-year-old is headed to high school and my oldest will be 25 here very shortly. Where does the time go?! One thing's for certain, I have enjoyed every minute of every adventure I have been having with them, there's nothing I'd rather be doing! And, as you know, my Boilermaker adventure is coming up in two weeks -- my goal is getting closer! We ran 8 miles on Saturday and felt so good when we were done -- this also has been one of the BEST things I have EVER done. I used to think that earning a stamping cruise or being top demonstrator at Stampin' Up! would be a goal I'd like to achieve some day when my kids got older and I had more time, but I have to tell you that I am totally content with where I am right now in that aspect. Things are much different now, life IS good and I am certainly enjoying the ride!
Well -- I hope you are enjoying your time as much as I am with my family and friends. We are about to embark on a new catalog on July 1. I will be in and out over the summer, again enjoying my time with my family and friends, stamping when I can! Check back from time to time to see what I've been up to. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Life in CNY ...

I woke up to that familiar sound of the rain at the window yet again, drip drip drip -- ahhhhhhh life in Central New York, what a way to start the day (especially a Friday) I laid there for a while longer trying to think of 10 positive aspects of rain to try and make myself feel better, so here's what I have so far:

1.) Rain is good for the well, I can do lots of laundry.
2.) I can take a longer shower.
3.) I don't need to add any more water to the pool.
4.) The fish in our family ponds have much more room to swim.
5.) The flowers dad brought up for me to plant will grow nicely.
6.) I can focus better on getting my "real" job done while the sun is taking a break, get it done faster = more time for play.
7.) I don't have to mow the lawn.
8.) I don't have to fill the bird bath.
9.) I can bring bug spray to my daughter's field trip today for all the mosquitos that will be eating us.
10.) I don't have to wash the car!

Now see, it's not so bad! I'll bet all of you clever people can think of some more, so c'mon, let's hear it!

Two-for-One Diva Day!

I'm hanging my head for missing last week's Diva challenge. The end of year school activities piled my month of June too high for me to be able to participate. The good news is, I was able to create a card THIS week to make up for it. So lets' start with last week's challenge first, which was a sketch as you can see.

Here are the details:
Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks, #114980 page 84
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Full Heart punch, #113693 page 184, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, #109070 page 179, Riding Hood Red satin ribbon

This week's challenge is a color challenge and what a pretty color combo it is -- I created the first two cards without including any Kraft (I forgot), so I went back and recreated the first card to include the Kraft cardstock.

Card 1 details:
Stamps: Le Jardin Botanique, #113232 page 101
Inks: Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Kraft, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Always Artichoke
Accessories: 5/16" Jumbo Brads Neutrals Assortment, #112534 page 174, Large oval punch, #107305 page 184, Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon and Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, both on page 179
Card 2 details:
Stamps: Soft Summer, #113802, page 3 in the current mini and soon to expire on 6/30/2009. Garden Greetings (Thank You)
Inks: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Large and small oval punches, Always Artichoke and Night of Navy grosgrain, Photo Corners punch

I'm off for my run this morning and then back to work -- I hope you have a great Wednesday. Tonight is scrapbook club!

Technique Tuesday ...

Iiiiiiit's Technique Tuesday time! Tonight's technique was paper piecing. I call it the cheater way to color an open image without pencils, paints or markers. You start by stamping your main image onto your focal point piece of cardstock. You stamp the same image again on Designer Series Paper or regular cardstock and cut out the pieces you want and adhere them to the main image. For instance -- I stamped the little golfer guy once onto the Whisper White piece. I then stamped him again on a piece of Manchester Designer Series Paper (page 160) and again on a piece of Always Artichoke. I cut out his shirt and hat from the Manchester DSP and his shorts from the Always Artichoke. I adhered the cut out pieces to the main image and colored the rest of him in with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. The stamp set is called Any Many Mower and is in the occasions mini catalog that will be retiring on June 30 -- don't let this stamp set pass you by, it will be G-O-N-E after 6/30/09! As an added accent, I ran a piece of Whisper White cardstock through my Big Shot with my swiss dot texture plate and used my circle punch to make the golf ball accent which was adhered using Stampin' dimensionals.

For my technique sample card I used the Totally Tool set from page 47 and for the other card I used Voila from page 45. Be sure to stop back in the morning to see the Diva challenge -- it's a color challenge I'm sure you'll love! See you in the a.m. -- sleep tight!

New Goodies ...

What a week! There has been something going on every day, every minute, kid you not! DD Sam had a softball game on Tuesday night, I ran over something in the road on the way home that had to be taken out and the tire plugged (thank God for my father-in-law), work, chorus concert last night, son Michael's moving up to high school tonight, 5th grade class trip to Boston tomorrow, and my training in between, etc., etc., etc. It is very crazy right now as I'm sure most of you with children can attest to. Since hubby keeps such late hours at work, he's not able to participate unfortunately, but at least one of us can! I missed the Diva challenge completely this week and quite honestly haven't spent any time in my stamp room other than to do my "real" work and to open my new box of goodies you can see here! These are all of the new In Colors in the new Fall Winter catalog that is coming on July 1. The stamp sets and markers you see are all new items we were able to pre-purchase as demonstrators. I had wanted to use some of these items for the Diva challenge this week, but it just didn't happen .... maybe over the weekend I'll get a chance, but the schedule is just as full unfortunately. We get home from Boston at around 1:30 a.m. and I have to get up and run 6 miles at 7:30, off to Sam's softball game after that, and then a graduation party on Sunday.
I did manage to take our dog out for a walk yesterday up near the pond and picked a lovely bunch of wildflowers .... they all look so pretty together. I needed a break to "stop and smell the roses" -- oops I mean wildflowers. Hope you have a great weekend! I am still taking orders like crazy for the items being discontinued, so feel free to contact me if you want to place an order before it's GONE!

Almost here ....

There are a few things that are almost here -- the BRAND SPANKIN' NEW CATALOG, summer break, and my first ever 15K road race! While I'm not so eager for the kids' summer break (hehe), I am SUPER excited about the new In Colors and the new catalog -- yes I have seen it, and you're going to LOVE it! I'm also SUPER excited about the Boilermaker Road Race which is coming up faster than lightening on July 12! I started training for the Boilermaker in January at the Fitness Mill (thus the reason for the snow photo). That was a shot I took at 6:30 a.m. on my way to my first training session. Thank God the snow is gone now -- I thought I must be losing my mind when I'd leave in the bitter cold to come train for this! I've met so many wonderful people through this adventure and a special friend I'll be running with, Kim, from Waterville. We started together and we're going to finish together, as I say, God-willing! We are now running 5 miles every Saturday and 4-5 miles a couple of times during the week. I can't even believe I'm doing that! I truly think it will be PURE adrenaline for the last 4 miles of the race, no lie, and I pray for clouds, no rain and no humidity (do ya think that's too much to ask for for my first race?). I get so excited just thinking about it! I have NEVER ran in my life, never liked it, never did it, never DREAMED I would be participating in something like this. BUT every year I've brought my kids down to the starting line of the race and watched as thousands and thousands have participated over the years and told my kids that someday I would do it -- well that someday is almost here and I CANNOT wait! You hear people say all the time that if you believe in yourself, you can do anything -- God-willing I will complete my goal and prove to myself that I CAN do it and YOU can TOO, no matter what it is! I have dropped 30+ pounds on this adventure, feel SO much better, actually really like running now and can't imagine not doing it at this point. If you had told me a year ago that I'd be running in the Boilermaker this year, I would have given you the "yeah right" roll-of-the-eyes, so please read this passage in the "I can't believe I'm actually doing this" tone and not the "I'm bragging about it" one, as I really don't want to come off that way LOL I am just SUPER excited and wanted to share -- if I inspire ONE of you to do something you never thought you could do, then it was worth bringing it up!

Anyhoo - I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay tuned when I get my first new catalog pre-order next week -- you know I'll have to play with my new toys. Don't forget that the mini expires at the end of the month -- there are some really cool stamp sets in there that you won't want to miss out on!

DCBD #130

Gooooood morning! I'm running a little behind this morning ... life is so busy right now, isn't it?! I have someone coming over this morning to get some graduation ideas, so I'll be brief. I have to be honest in that I had NO idea what to do this morning. As I've told you in prior challenges, I just grab things that are still on my table and try to use up that cardstock first. I ended up making this really plain but clean-looking wedding card. I ran my Very Vanilla layer through my Big Shot with the filigree texture plate and then dragging my Not Quite Navy pad over the raised side of the embossed piece. I used the Ever After set for my sentiment. For my accent piece (the largest layer) is from the Big Shot matchbox die in the current mini catalog. I used a pewter jumbo brad, a 1" and 3/4" circle punch, and my crafter's tool kit to pierce some holes. If you don't have a Big Shot and would still like to participate in the challenge, you could always just incorporate punches into your design. I have to run, but thanks for stopping by -- see you soon!

Gobble gobble ...

I swear, you just NEVER know what's going on in my back yard. The "cute" little chipmunk photo from yesterday and my out-there philosopy from last night kinda wore off this morning and I've developed a new philosophy about the whole thing ... CHIPMUNKS ARE A PAIN! I was even thinking of applying some oil to the pole to see if that would keep the little creatures at ground level, but I decided to move the feeder to a hook they couldn't get to, although watching a chipmunk climb a greasy pole may make for a pretty funny Youtube video (OMG did I just say that?!)

Anyhoo I caught this blue bird sitting on the ledge of our pool but he wasn't close enough to get a clear photo. Then came this HUGE-MONGOUS Tom turkey walking across our back yard. You usually don't see the males as much as the females, but there were actually three Toms at my mom-in-law's bird feeder today next door. Once the back half of our house is done and the kitchen faces the back where all of this action goes on, I will probably never get anything done!

Okay, onto the measurements for the project from last night. You need one piece of 4-1/4 x 11 cardstock. You will score it at 1/2", 1", 5-1/4" and 5-3/4". Fold on score lines and form the holder as you see in the photo below. I created the holes using my Crop-a-dile at the 3/4" setting (large hole) from each side first and then punch a hole in the center of those two to line the tees up evenly. Just adhere the 1/2" flap to the front of the holder and that's it. I used one of our mini square envelopes from page 157 to make the gift card holder. Just seal the envelope and cut off one of the sides with your trimmer or you can use a Word Window punch from page 13 to create the pocket. If you have any further questions, just let me know!

Somebody send sunshine we're sick of the rain!

He's lucky he's cute ....

I caught this little guy red-handed today, shimmying up the hook and going for that seed. I thought I could do one of two things, bang on the door and scare him away, or allow the little guy to enjoy his adventure -- I know what my husband would have done, but he hasn't taught me how to load the gun yet hehe (just kidding), although I'm probably not far from the truth for those of you who know him LOL Anyway -- I thought about it and decided that it kind of represents the opportunity we have each day (I'm going to get a little philosophical on you); no matter how tall or how big the climb, if you go for it and no matter how many times someone or something knocks you down, you just brush yourself off, wait until their gone and do it again! It's worth the payoff in the end, so go for it!

And now, back to your regularly scheduled stamping program, here's a little gift card holder just in time for Father's Day or any day for that matter. I purchased these golf tees at Target yesterday and decided to use them in my project. I'll be back in the a.m. with your measurements and details, I'm just too tired and watching the tribute to George Strait, soooo see you tomorrow.

DCBD #129

Good morning! I know, I've been MIA for a whole week from my blog, can you believe it? Well hopefully you were off enjoying the extended Memorial Day weekend like we were! We have a lot going on around here!

Lets start with this morning's Diva sketch challenge DCBD#129 and what a challenge it was! When I first looked at it I thought, "What in the world am I going to do with this!?" And, because I really didn't want to make yet another floral card, I really had a challenge on my hands. I usually start by picking card pieces that are already cut from a prior project or class so I don't have to cut more cardstock, then I try to figure out what stamp set to use. The one part that was giving me the most difficulty was the half scalloped accent, especially since I'm usually a VERY symmetrical stamper! I started with my Sip by Sip stamp set from page 51 and this is where it led me. I used a coffee filter for my scalloped accent (kinda silly) but so fitting for the theme of the card, don't ya think?! LOL This isn't one of my favorite creations, but the challenge is complete! Here are the card details:

Stamps: Sip by Sip
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Kraft, Whisper White and Walk in the Park DSP
Ink: White Kraft, Basic Brown and Baha Breeze
Accessories: Corduroy buttons, coffee filter, sponge, white embossing powder
P.S. I decided to create a little wall hanging out of my card to give to a special someone who likes anything coffee-related. I hope she enjoys it!

We are still working on our house, it's a never-ending project. I am excited though that we have begun the exterior facelift as you can see by the what I call "robin's egg blue insulation" we've got going on right now. We've chosen a cobblestone gray siding with white trim, no shutters, and there will be a front porch that extends from the entire front of the house and around the corner on the right-hand side (can't wait to put some Adirondack chairs and curl up to a good book someday). The garage as it sits right now will be taken down and brought closer to the front of the house, but not flush. The back half of the house is still going to have to be re-built from ground up, so again, it is never-ending but will be so worth it in the end! It's not looking too pretty right now, but we're getting there!

We managed to check things out up at the pond. There's a lot of activity up there as well as you can see. Even our dog Nike got in on the action. It's great to watch the seasonal changes up here in God's country. We may complain about the snow and cold from time to time, but I would really miss all of the seasons if I didn't have them. Anyhoo -- have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

YAAAAAAAAAAY FOR KRIS - Here's to the underdog!

What an awesome American Idol show tonight, WOOHOO! Even though I had a class here tonight, I wouldn't deprive them of watching idol and stamping AND eating chocolate all at the same time. The best part was the Cara and the bikini girl, we all burst out laughing -- anyway, I hope you were as happy with the result! These are the projects we did tonight. It was hard to stay focused once Idol started, but we got through it; 10 projects in 2 hours, not bad! I will be running the class one more time in the very near future, so keep watching or email me that you're interested in taking it, I will put you on the list! Have a good rest of the evening!

DCBD #128

Good morning Divas! It's that time again -- time for another Diva challenge. This morning's challenge was a color challenge using the above-noted colors. I immediately thought of using my Fifth Avenue Floral set from page 106. What a beautiful stamp set this is! The photos leave a lot to be desired, but in person this card comes to life with the use of many layers and many stampin dimensionals. I stamped the rose four times, colored them in with Riding Hood Red and Regal Rose ink, and cut out sections from each layer, attaching each layer with the dimensionals. I used the leaves from God's Beauty, colored and cut them out and then curled them by rolling them over a pencil. I gave the rose a layer of Crystal Effects and lightly sprinkled some dazzling diamonds. With the cardstock layers, some sponging on the edges, and an added Whisper White taffeta ribbon accent, the card was finished.

I'm off to see what the other divas came up with. Why not give the diva challenge a try. If you don't have the exact colors, just use a combination that is similar. It's supposed to be beautiful out for the next couple of days -- I hope you have the opportunity to get out and enjoy!

Stamp Camp ...

Here are the projects we made at yesterday's stamp camp. The first project is a mini magazine holder that will hold standard-sized cards, and the second is a really cute card holder created by Andrea Walford, another SU demonstrator in Canada. Both projects were really fun and easy to create!

It was another super busy week, which will be followed by another one this week with a track meet tonight, a school concert tomorrow, and my 3D class on Wednesday -- have you reserved your spot yet? Have a great week everyone -- I'll see you Wednesday a.m. for another Diva challenge!

Scrap Club ...

Yes, it was time for scrapclub tonight ... I love my scrapbook group of girls to pieces! I wanted to show them a variety of our yummy designer series papers since they're on sale this month (buy three, get one free), as well as the new Jumble alphabet set that's on special right now for 20% off. It also gave me the opportunity to use the "And Many Mower" stamp set from the Occasions mini and Cheers to You, which is perfect for father's day or any manly card or scrapbook page.

Well, I'm off to catch some Zs before our trip tomorrow -- we won't get home until after midnight and I'm sure there will be no sleeping on the bus. I've packed my bag with my Twilight book that I've been trying to read forever (no I haven't seen the movie either), my Ipod, my EARPLUGS, and a few stamp sets I need to put together. That should occupy some of the 5-hour trip (one way), don't ya think?! Anyway, I hope you're all having a great week -- I'll see you soon!

DCBD #127

Good morning! This morning's DCBD challenge is a sketch as you can see. My day is jam packed full, but I did take time out this morning to create this card. I used the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper (don't forget the DSP special for this month!), Rose Red, Gold, Shimmer White, and Cardstock vellum. The stamp set is a level 1 hostess set called "God's Beauty" and a beauty of a stamp set it is! I hope you get the chance to participate in the challenge, it's fun to see how each person interprets the design. I am off on another adventure with my son Michael tomorrow to Boston with a million and one things to do today before we go. The high school and middle school band are going to see the Blue Man Group and some sight-seeing; it should be a fun-filled day with him! See you soon and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

I know, I've been MIA since last Wednesday -- my apologies. I don't know about the rest of you, but my kids are super busy right now with their sports and DD with her play "Princess and the Pea". I went on the road with them last week to another elementary school and then to an assisted living home. It was great fun and the kids were terrific! The play will be going on all this week at the school and there are a whole bunch of other events going on with them as well this month -- it's absolutely CRAZY busy! I haven't had time to do anything to be quite honest, but I just wanted to get on and wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day! I hope your day was enjoyable as mine. The BEST part of being a mom is getting to enjoy all of the things your kids are involved in and watching them grow into young, responsible, healthy adults! That's all the gift I'll ever need, seeing them succeed! I'll get back to stamping for sure on Wednesday for another Diva challenge, but for now it's back to work and trying to find my house after an extremely busy weekend! See you soon and thanks for stopping by!

Time for another Diva Challenge - DCBD #126

Good morning fellow Divas! This morning's challenge took quite a bit longer than usual, as I really wanted to use my new pop up cake die and one of the new stamp sets we won at our WNY SCS get-together, Ever After. I combined the two to create this wedding card. The cake went together much easier than I had anticipated, which is always a GOOD thing! Here are the rest of the details:

Stamps: Ever After, page 83
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Shimmer White, Chocolate Chip, Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini)
Inks: Baja Breeze Classic, Vanilla Craft, Chocolate Chip Classic
Accessories: Big Shot Bigz Pop-Up cake, multipurpose glue and dazzling diamonds glitter, wide oval punch, Crafters Tool Kit, sponge, 1-1/4 and 1-3/8" square punches, vanilla taffeta ribbon, sticky strip, Heart-to-Heart punch, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

I can't wait to see what my fellow Divas created for this morning's challenge! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hey, where'd the weekend go?

Me and my kids, DD Sam (11), me, son Christopher (24) and son Michael (14). They're all going to be taller than me -- I'm wearing heels too!
Mom and dad -- still smiling after 51 years of marriage, God Bless them!
Mom making her wish!My boys -- Sons Michael and Christopher with hubby Mike. I think they were up to no good, don't you?

The weekend went by so fast mostly because there was something going on almost every minute it seems. We started with a rained out track meet on Friday night, a 4-mile run Saturday a.m., opening day for DDs softball and her first game on Saturday, to mom's 70th birthday party Saturday night, and dinner with my in-laws whose 51st anniversary was yesterday -- PHEW! And I'm still here to talk about it hehe It sure was a great weekend -- hope your's was as enjoyable. I have to find my house now and get ready for a ridiculously busy month of May!
